Tetramythos is an organic winery nestled in the heart of Aigialeia, within the protected Natura Geopark of Chelmos-Vouraikos, in Peloponnese. A mountainous region offering a unique geodiversity, featuring gorges and forests, freshwater springs and lakes, all set against the towering slopes of Aroania Mountains right next to the sea of the Corithian Gulf. With a winemaking tradition that dates back to antiquity, the area has long been recognized for its rich viticultural heritage.
The vineyards of Tetramythos strech from 650 to 1,050 meters above sea level, placing them among the highest wine-growing regions in Greece. The combination of steep, terraced slopes, the cooling sea breeze from the nearby sea, and the complex limestone soils creates an ideal environment for cultivating grapes that express a fresh, aromatic character, high natural acidities, and a distinctive mineral texture.
Tetramythos produces terroir-driven wines of low intervention, allowing the purity and elegance of this cool-climate terroir to shine through in every bottle. Exportations are more than 85% of the annual production.
The winery is applying sustainable packaging practices. The bottles have been switched to lighter glass, weighing just 420 grams, resulting in a substantial reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. To further minimize our overall environmental impact, we use PVC-free capsules and solar energy through rooftop panels to supplement the winery’s electricity needs. - Άνω Διακοπτό
