Το Κτήμα Χατζηγεωργίου ιδρύθηκε το 1952 από τον Βασίλειο Χατζηγεωργίου, ένας πρωτοπόρος οραματιστής και αγρότης. Διηύθυνε μια ιδιωτική αναδιανομή της γης και σχηματίζεται ένα κτήμα 185 στρεμμάτων της στην Κάριανη, στο νομό Καβάλας, στη βορειοανατολική Ελλάδα. Συνειδητοποίησε ότι το δυναμικό της περιοχής για την αμπελουργία και δημιούργησε μία από τις πρώτες συστηματικές αμπελώνες με ελληνικές και γαλλικές ποικιλίες.
Η διαχείριση της περιουσίας πέρασε στα χέρια του ο γιος του Νικόλαος Χατζηγεωργίου, ο οποίος υλοποίησε μια εκτεταμένη αναδιάρθρωση του αμπελώνα μέσα από σύγχρονες μεθόδους καλλιέργειας και σύμφωνα με υψηλά περιβαλλοντικά πρότυπα.
Το 2006, ο Βασίλης Χατζηγεωργίου , ξεκίνησε τη δημιουργία ενός σύγχρονου και μεσογειακού στυλ οινοποιείου που θα είναι επίσης ανοικτό για το κοινό. Μοναδικός σκοπός τους είναι να συνεχίσει την μακρά οικογενειακή παράδοση στην παραγωγή ποιοτικών κρασιών. - Κάριανη

Estate Chatzigeorgiou was founded in 1952 by Chatzigeorgiou, a pioneer visionary and farmer. He directed a private redistribution of land and formed an estate of 18.5 acres in Kariani, in the prefecture of Kavala, in northeastern Greece. He realized that the potential of the area for viticulture and created one of the first systematic vineyards with Greek and French varieties.
The property was managed by his son Nikolaos Chatzigeorgiou, who carried out extensive restructuring of the vineyard through modern cultivation methods and according to high environmental standards. He had realized the irrational use of chemical fertilizers and had serious consequences for both people and the environment. Then a project of overall management was incorporated, which later became a recognized organic farming system.
At the same time, he experimented with winemaking, producing wine that was extremely popular in the wider region. In 2006, Vassilis Chatzigeorgiou began the creation of a modern and Mediterranean style winery that will also be open to the public. Their unique purpose is to continue the long family tradition of producing quality wines. - Kariani
