How to reach the MEC exhibition centre: The Mediterranean Exhibition Centre (MEC) is situated at 301 Lavriou Avenue, in Peania, Attica. (Telephone at the exhibition centre: 210 604 1410) Click here to see the location on the map. (Map: http://www.forthnet,gr/templaters/driveme.aspx?c=10008226) If you are arriving to Greece by plane: The easiest and recommended way is to take the metro (or the suburban railway) from the airport and get off at the Peania/Kantza station. From there, it is a short 10’ ride with our shuttle bus to the exhibition. You can leave your luggage at the cloakroom, at the exhibition entrance. You can also take a taxi from the airport. Just tell the driver “Ekthessiako Kentro MEK, exodos 17”. It is no more than a 10’ to 15’ minute ride from the airport and under no circumstances should cost more than 25 euros. If in doubt about the price you are asked to pay, pay what is asked for, then ask for a receipt and take down the car’s licence plate number. We will happily call the police for you. If you are coming by bus: You can choose one of the following: E95 (Syntagma – Spata); E96 (Piraeus – Spata); E94 (Ethniki Amyna – Spata); 308 (Ethniki Amyna – Koropi) as well as the KTEL intercity buses from the Pedio tou Areos heading for Porto-Rafti, Lavrion, Mesogeia, Markopoulo Attikis and Kalyvia. If you are coming by train: Oenorama is connected to the centre of Athens via the metro; the suburban railway which connects the airport to the city of Corinthos also stops at the same station, Peania/Kantza. An Oenorama shuttle bus will take you to the exhibition. If you are coming by car: There are two easy ways to access MEC: either via the Attiki Odos Highway (exit 17 then follow the signs) or via Lavriou Avenue (Leoforos Lavriou 301, please be extra careful when turning left if you are coming from Athens). In both cases, when you reach the fairgrounds, follow the directions of the security personnel who will direct you to those areas with available parking. If you are coming by taxi: At the fair entrance there is a taxi counter for your convenience. |
